Does OrderPilot put signature records on hold automatically during a dispute?

In the appPayments and signaturesUpdated 2 Nov 2026

Short answer

No. OrderPilot does not learn of card disputes automatically.

Someone with Export and hold signature records must open the order, choose Place legal hold, and enter a reason. Held records remain protected from retention deletion until the hold is lifted.

Do I need a DMARC record?

DMARC is recommended for OrderPilot's sending setup, but it isn't required to complete that setup. Review DMARC shows the current result and a copy-ready record when one is missing. The starter policy is v=DMARC1; p=none;.

If your domain already has a record that needs fixing, repair it instead of adding a second one.

How long do DNS records take to verify?

New sending-domain records can take up to a day to appear; the Receive replies record can take up to an hour. Use Check again for the sending domain or Check record for reply capture after adding the displayed records. OrderPilot also checks daily.

If records remain missing, compare the saved hostname and value with OrderPilot's instructions.

Can we keep our records if we stop using OrderPilot?

Download the documents and reports you need before uninstalling OrderPilot, and export signature evidence separately. Uninstalling ends app access and begins the data-erasure process, with specified records retained.

OrderPilot-created Shopify products remain in Shopify. Do not treat reinstalling as a guaranteed way to recover your quotes and orders.

Does returning a custom piece automatically put it back in stock?

No. A return does not automatically put a custom piece back on its stocked variant.

Inspect the returned goods and adjust Shopify stock through your inventory process. Keep the refund and the physical stock correction separate so an unusable or unmatched configuration is not offered for sale.
