How does a quote become an order?
Short answer
A quote becomes an OrderPilot order when you move it to Order, while payment or Create order (pay later) places the sale in Shopify.
Use Next status or Status in Quote settings, then save. You need conversion permission.
Check the resulting Shopify badge and balance; an Order title alone does not mean the sale is placed or paid.
