Are email and text allowances shared between our locations?

Pricing and plansUpdated 2 Nov 2026

Short answer

Yes, OrderPilot pools the email and text allowances across your store's locations.

The included amount depends on your plan and billed locations, and the allowances reset each calendar month. A location is not restricted to using its own isolated share of the store's allowance.

What is the difference between options and order fields?

Options describe a product line and can add to its price; order fields collect information once for the whole quote or order. Fabric belongs on the Linden Sofa line, while Delivery floor belongs to the order.

Order fields never change the price. Options and order fields share one internal-name list, so each name can be used only once.

What is the difference between a template's Category and its Tax category?

Category is OrderPilot's grouping; Tax category is Shopify's product category for category-based tax rates. OrderPilot categories become Shopify product types and can carry warranty, terms, signature, deposit and commission rules.

Setting one does not set the other. Choose the template's Tax category separately in Organization.

Does restricting a template to one location hide it from the online store?

No. Who can add it controls staff and POS availability, while online publication has separate settings.

Set permitted brands or locations in the template's Organization card and save. Configure the template's online mode separately when you need to change what shoppers can see.

What is the difference between the OrderPilot app and the POS extension?

OrderPilot in Shopify admin handles store setup and back-office work, while its Shopify POS tiles handle showroom sales. Both use the same quotes and orders. Staff can create quotes, take payments and deposits, collect signatures and print receipts on POS; Settings live in the app inside Shopify admin.
