What is the difference between a template's Category and its Tax category?

Short answer

Category is OrderPilot's grouping; Tax category is Shopify's product category for category-based tax rates.

OrderPilot categories become Shopify product types and can carry warranty, terms, signature, deposit and commission rules.

Setting one does not set the other. Choose the template's Tax category separately in Organization.

A quote is an offer for the customer to review; an order records an agreed sale. Both use the same OrderPilot record and editing screen. Create Quote and Create Order initially create Shopify draft orders.

Payment or Create order (pay later) places the Shopify order, so check the Shopify badge as well as the title.

What is the difference between Accept and Apply in quote?

Accept moves the sale into Changes Requested while your team works on it; Apply in quote fills the requested value on the line. Save the quote to keep the applied value. Then check whether the request still needs an updated quote email or the customer's agreement before signing can resume.
