Why is Collect deposit unavailable?
Collect deposit needs an eligible, created Shopify draft with Deposit orders enabled.
The main sale must not already be placed or split into two parts.
Wait for Shopify sync to finish, and review any unpaid deposit request before creating another. Enable deposit orders in SettingsQuotes & ordersDefaultsDelivery & stock.

Why can't I mark items collected?
Mark collected needs fully paid, eligible goods and Change order status permission. Collect the outstanding amount and ensure goods still on order have been received before handover. Select at least 1 eligible item and the quantity actually leaving.
Read the disabled control's reason if collection remains unavailable.

Can I mark only some units of a line collected?
Yes. Open Mark collected or Mark delivered, select the eligible line, and set How many to the quantity actually leaving. Confirm the handover method before saving.
The completed units move to Taken; the remaining units stay in their appropriate waiting group.

How can I take a deposit on a custom sofa in Shopify?
You can take a partial payment through Shopify POS where supported, or use native percentage deposit terms on Shopify Plus. Shopify documents POS partial payments and draft-order deposit terms. POS availability depends on device settings and country restrictions.
OrderPilot also creates separate deposit-order links on any Shopify plan before the main sale is placed. The paid deposit is credited against the main draft. That route is created in the admin app; OrderPilot's Take Deposit route on POS requires Plus.
