Can we keep the showroom sample and order a new item for the customer?
Yes, OrderPilot's Order New choice lets you order a tracked Shopify product without using the showroom unit.
The customer commitment uses a made-to-order location, and purchasing includes the new unit even when floor stock exists. Goods are received at a subscribed physical location and held for the customer after arrival.

From other topicsCan we start with showroom quoting before adding website features?
Yes, OrderPilot's Shopify admin and POS workflows can be set up before website quoting. Begin with your catalog, staff access and a complete showroom sale, then configure the online-store features and theme.
Website selling and quote requests require Growth or Professional. Enabling website features is a separate setup step.
Can the showroom and back office work on the same customer order?
Yes, OrderPilot in Shopify POS and Shopify admin uses the same customer sale. A salesperson can configure the quote on the showroom iPad, and purchasing can open it in the office. Purchasing, receiving, settings and warranty claims are handled in the admin app; they are not all available on POS.
Can staff use OrderPilot when the showroom internet is down?
No, OrderPilot has no offline workflow on Shopify POS. Every OrderPilot screen needs a connection to its server.
Plan showroom use around a working internet connection, including opening quotes, saving product choices and preparing payments. Do not assume Shopify POS payment capabilities also make OrderPilot's screens available offline.
Can I move only some held units to the showroom?
No. The held-stock Move action moves all units the customer order needs together.
Finish receiving that quantity first. The action applies to eligible template units held at another location, and the destination must be subscribed.
It has no in-transit stage and does not create a Shopify Transfer record.
