Why can’t I change payment terms after placing the order?
Payment terms and deposit settings lock when the sale becomes a placed Shopify order.
Force Edit does not reopen them. Set and save the agreed terms while the sale is still a Shopify draft, then check the terms before placing it.

From other topicsCan customers request changes after signing or placing an order?
Yes. Customers can request changes after signing or placing an order through the OrderPilot portal. A request doesn't change the order until your team accepts it.
Review the proposed change with the customer, then check whether the updated agreement needs another signature before continuing the sale.
Does OrderPilot process our customers' card payments?
Customer checkout payments go through Shopify, with OrderPilot tracking the payment result and remaining balance. Payment links open the relevant Shopify checkout, and showroom payments use Shopify POS.
Staff can also record money received elsewhere, such as a bank transfer. Recording a payment in OrderPilot does not charge the customer's card.
Do payments and fulfillment recorded in Shopify update OrderPilot?
Yes, Shopify sends payment, fulfillment, refund and cancellation updates back to linked OrderPilot sales. Staff can follow the customer sale without entering those events twice.
Updates are processed in the background, so check the sync and payment states before continuing. A customer signature, payment and delivery are separate facts about the sale.

Does recording a vendor payment send the money?
No. Record payment in Vendor payments records money you paid through another method.
Enter the actual amount, date and method, then check Paid and Balance due. A partial payment can be recorded as a deposit.
Removing an incorrect record does not recover money from the vendor.
