Do payments and fulfillment recorded in Shopify update OrderPilot?

OrderPilot and ShopifyUpdated 2 Nov 2026

Short answer

Yes, Shopify sends payment, fulfillment, refund and cancellation updates back to linked OrderPilot sales.

Staff can follow the customer sale without entering those events twice.

Updates are processed in the background, so check the sync and payment states before continuing. A customer signature, payment and delivery are separate facts about the sale.

Does the payment status update when a customer pays online?

Yes. When Shopify reports an online payment, OrderPilot updates the payment badge and Paid amount.

Refunds made in Shopify sync back too. A payment request or link does not mean money has arrived.

Check the updated payment record before treating the sale as paid.

Do catalog price changes update quotes I already saved?

No. Saved quotes and drafts keep their recorded option prices and labels when the catalog changes.

Placed orders keep their sold details too. Re-picking an option value on a saved quote uses today's price, so make that change only when you intend to revise the offer.

How do I update template prices by CSV without clearing other details?

Remove columns you do not intend to update, and keep the existing template handles. Omitted columns preserve their current values.

With updates enabled, blank cells in present columns can clear details such as descriptions, costs, images, terms and overrides. Use Upload and check, then review every blank-clear warning before Apply import.

Does receiving update Shopify right away?

Shopify stock updates follow after the receipt is saved, so posting a receipt and updating inventory are separate steps. A pending update can show Updating stock in Shopify after about a minute.

If retries fail, the PO shows Stock not updated in Shopify with the error and Retry. Check that result before recording another receipt.
