How do I refund a separate deposit order?
Open Payments and Invoices, choose View deposit order, and refund the deposit on that Shopify order.
OrderPilot then adds the refunded portion back to the main draft's balance. Check both records after Shopify's update arrives so the customer is asked for the correct remaining amount.

Does closing a customer's change request cancel or refund their order?
No. Settling a change request does not cancel an order or issue a refund. Complete the conversation and check the resulting quote, then handle any cancellation or refund through its own action.
Keep the request open until the customer's question or proposed change has actually been settled.

You can take a partial payment through Shopify POS where supported, or use native percentage deposit terms on Shopify Plus. Shopify documents POS partial payments and draft-order deposit terms. POS availability depends on device settings and country restrictions.
OrderPilot also creates separate deposit-order links on any Shopify plan before the main sale is placed. The paid deposit is credited against the main draft. That route is created in the admin app; OrderPilot's Take Deposit route on POS requires Plus.
