Why does Shopify show the average cost in a FIFO shop?
Short answer
Shopify's Cost per item holds one figure, so OrderPilot publishes a weighted average across locations even when sales use FIFO or LIFO.
OrderPilot keeps the sale's cost-layer method separately. The Shopify average is therefore expected and does not mean your FIFO setting was ignored.
