Can I keep an option off the product page but still on the quote?
Yes. Turn on Hide on the online store for the option on the template's Online options page, then save.
A required option needs a Starts as value before it can be hidden.
Online requests use that starting value, and staff can change it later. Hiding the control does not make its price confidential.

From other topicsDo categories decide which options a product shows?
No. A template's options and bundles determine which choices it offers.
Categories group templates, set their Shopify product type, and carry warranty, terms, signature, deposit and commission rules. Assigning Linden Sofa to Sofas does not automatically add Fabric or Cushion Fill.
How do I show a product's selected options in an email?
Turn on Show each item's choices in the email's Line items block; the setting starts off. Preview a quote containing options, such as Olivia Bennett's Linden Sofa with Sage Velvet, to check the result. Save and publish the draft when the item details are ready for future customer emails.
How can I offer more than 3 product options on Shopify?
Shopify supports up to 3 options and 2,048 variants per product; additional requirements need an app or theme customization. Shopify documents those limits.
OrderPilot uses product templates with shared options such as fabric, cushion fill, finish and custom dimensions. Staff configure those choices on a quote instead of selecting a prebuilt Shopify variant for every combination. Website configuration requires the online features and theme setup.
What is the difference between options and order fields?
Options describe a product line and can add to its price; order fields collect information once for the whole quote or order. Fabric belongs on the Linden Sofa line, while Delivery floor belongs to the order.
Order fields never change the price. Options and order fields share one internal-name list, so each name can be used only once.
