Short answer

Turn on Show each item's choices in the email's Line items block; the setting starts off.

Preview a quote containing options, such as Olivia Bennett's Linden Sofa with Sage Velvet, to check the result. Save and publish the draft when the item details are ready for future customer emails.

Do categories decide which options a product shows?

No. A template's options and bundles determine which choices it offers.

Categories group templates, set their Shopify product type, and carry warranty, terms, signature, deposit and commission rules. Assigning Linden Sofa to Sofas does not automatically add Fabric or Cushion Fill.

I changed a template's options. Why doesn't the product page show it yet?

A saved option change reaches the product page after template sync and Shopify's storefront cache refresh. The delay can be minutes or hours.

Check the template's sync state before editing the same setting again. OrderPilot checks and recalculates a submitted request, so an old page does not set the final saved price.

Can I keep an option off the product page but still on the quote?

Yes. Turn on Hide on the online store for the option on the template's Online options page, then save. A required option needs a Starts as value before it can be hidden.

Online requests use that starting value, and staff can change it later. Hiding the control does not make its price confidential.
