Short answer

Shopify supports up to 3 options and 2,048 variants per product; additional requirements need an app or theme customization.

Can I keep an option off the product page but still on the quote?

Yes. Turn on Hide on the online store for the option on the template's Online options page, then save. A required option needs a Starts as value before it can be hidden.

Online requests use that starting value, and staff can change it later. Hiding the control does not make its price confidential.

My product page says options aren't available online right now. What do I do?

Check the template's active state, online mode and sync status, then allow Shopify's storefront cache to refresh. Options for this product aren't available online right now means the page lacks usable published option information.

For Sync failed, fix the reported cause and choose Retry sync. If the configuration is too large, offer fewer values or shorten names and descriptions, then save.
