Why don't option swatches show colors on POS?

On Shopify POSQuotes and ordersUpdated 2 Nov 2026

Short answer

Option choices on POS show their names without swatch colors because that screen does not display those color swatches.

Choose the option by its label, such as Sage Velvet, and check the saved selection. The OrderPilot app and the online store can show the swatches.

Can each brand have its own color?

Yes. With brand grouping enabled, set the brand's color through Branding's Brand picker or the brand editor. Orders use the brand associated with their location.

Save or discard any current Branding changes before switching brands, then check the relevant customer-asset previews before saving the color.

I changed my Shopify theme's colors. Does OrderPilot follow?

No. OrderPilot reads theme branding during installation and does not continually follow later theme changes. Choose Update from theme in Branding, select the values you want, click Use these, and save.

Values you set yourself start unticked. The import does not replace your email templates or PDF themes.

Why does OrderPilot refuse my portal background color?

OrderPilot refuses a background that makes the portal's gray text too difficult to read. Choose a lighter color that preserves the required 4.5:1 contrast ratio. The Customer portal, Quote request page and Request sent page share the background, so check all 3 previews before saving.

What is the difference between options and order fields?

Options describe a product line and can add to its price; order fields collect information once for the whole quote or order. Fabric belongs on the Linden Sofa line, while Delivery floor belongs to the order.

Order fields never change the price. Options and order fields share one internal-name list, so each name can be used only once.
