I changed my Shopify theme's colors. Does OrderPilot follow?

BrandingUpdated 2 Nov 2026

Short answer

No. OrderPilot reads theme branding during installation and does not continually follow later theme changes.

Choose Update from theme in Branding, select the values you want, click Use these, and save.

Values you set yourself start unticked. The import does not replace your email templates or PDF themes.

I changed a status by hand and the customer got an email. How do I stop that?

Turn off Send status emails when staff change a status in SettingsMessages & notificationsSending settingsEmail & SMS rules. The rule covers staff changes on the order page, Next status, POS, and bulk changes. OrderPilot's automatic moves can still send emails.

Manually sent emails and status text messages are separate.

Why hasn't Shopify's Cost per item changed after receiving?

Shopify cost publishing requires final costs and Keep Cost per item updated for stocked products to be on. Missing vendor costs, estimated charges, failed updates or a conflicting Shopify cost edit can stop publishing.

Check Retry now in the PO list's Costs column. Purely custom items without a Shopify inventory item have no cost field to update.

How do I prove a signed PDF wasn't changed?

Compare the PDF's SHA-256 fingerprint with Signed PDF SHA-256 in Signature history. Matching fingerprints show that the file contents match the stored copy; a different fingerprint means the files differ.

The full guide explains how to calculate the fingerprint on Windows or macOS. Matching files alone does not establish who signed.

Someone else changed the PO while I was editing. What now?

Click Reload purchase order, review the latest version, and enter your intended changes again. OrderPilot refuses the older save so it cannot overwrite another person's update. Unsaved edits on the old PO page are not kept, so note the changes you still need before reloading.
