Can staff see all store orders but edit only their own?

In the appTeam and permissionsUpdated 2 Nov 2026

Short answer

Yes. In the role's Which records settings, choose a wider scope for Quotes and orders they can see and Assigned to them for changes.

Change scope cannot be wider than view scope. The primary salesperson owns the record; secondary sales credit does not make it an assigned record for editing.

I changed my Shopify theme's colors. Does OrderPilot follow?

No. OrderPilot reads theme branding during installation and does not continually follow later theme changes. Choose Update from theme in Branding, select the values you want, click Use these, and save.

Values you set yourself start unticked. The import does not replace your email templates or PDF themes.

Why does OrderPilot refuse my portal background color?

OrderPilot refuses a background that makes the portal's gray text too difficult to read. Choose a lighter color that preserves the required 4.5:1 contrast ratio. The Customer portal, Quote request page and Request sent page share the background, so check all 3 previews before saving.

What is the difference between options and order fields?

Options describe a product line and can add to its price; order fields collect information once for the whole quote or order. Fabric belongs on the Linden Sofa line, while Delivery floor belongs to the order.

Order fields never change the price. Options and order fields share one internal-name list, so each name can be used only once.

Why can't an order field be a Dimensions option?

Dimensions is available for product options only, because each set of measurements belongs to a product line. Create an option with Type set to Dimensions, then attach it to the template. Use an order field for information that applies to the whole sale without separate measurement boxes or size-range checks.
