A customer bought a sofa at the base price with no fabric. How?
Collection quick-add, search or another direct cart route can add a bare template product at its base price without collecting options.
Check the customer's entry point and review Extra selector to hide with your theme maintainer.

From other topicsShould I track inventory for every fabric or finish option?
Track an option only when you buy and hold its values separately from the main product. A tracked value becomes its own Shopify line and purchase-order row.
Leave tracking off when Fabric or Leg finish only describes the piece the vendor makes. Dropdown, Swatch and Number support the documented tracking workflow; Dimensions cannot track stock.

Can I see which fabric and finish combinations sell most?
Yes. In Profit, Best-selling configurations groups lines from the same template with exactly the same options. Choose Rank by Units, Revenue or Profit, or use View all configurations for the full grouping and export.
Only template lines form these groups; try a longer period or All stores if none appear.

Can fabric and finish choices change the quoted price?
Yes, OrderPilot adds selected option prices to a product template's base price. Dropdown and swatch choices add their assigned price; Number options multiply the entered quantity by the unit price.
Text and Dimensions options add a flat charge when filled. Saved quotes keep their saved selection prices until a deliberate change reprices the choice.

Can customers request a different fabric after receiving their quote?
Yes, customers can request a fabric change or ask a question through the OrderPilot portal, available from Growth. Staff review the request and accept, offer an alternative or decline it.
The request does not change the order automatically. Open questions or changes can block signing until the team resolves them.
