Can we control what salespeople and warehouse staff can see?

Getting started and supportUpdated 4 Nov 2026

Short answer

Yes, OrderPilot uses roles, permissions and assigned locations to control staff access within your Shopify store.

You can separate sales, purchasing, receiving and administrative work.

Cost visibility has its own permission, and costs are always hidden on Shopify POS. Sales credit does not itself grant access to a customer's order.

Can OrderPilot support several showrooms and a warehouse?

Yes, OrderPilot uses your Shopify locations for showroom sales and warehouse work. Staff access can be limited by location, while purchasing and receiving stay connected to the customer sale.

Choose an OrderPilot plan that covers the locations where your team works, including physical receiving locations. A made-to-order location holds order commitments and is separate from a physical warehouse.

Can OrderPilot calculate commission for furniture salespeople?

Yes, OrderPilot Growth and Professional include sales commission based on assigned sales credit and your store's rules. Commission can use net merchandise or gross profit, with an earning trigger such as placement, full payment or full delivery.

Quotes and drafts do not earn commission. OrderPilot calculates and reports commission; it does not run payroll.

Can my warehouse team receive goods without seeing costs?

Yes. Give the warehouse role Receive items, and remove View costs, Enter costs and charges, and Correct received costs.

Also remove View all commission and profit, which enables cost viewing. The receiving screen hides costs and uses the PO price.

Purchasing or accounting staff can review invoice amounts separately.
