Can I receive more than I ordered?
No. Accepted and rejected quantities cannot exceed the ordered quantity.
Create another purchase order for unexpected extra goods and receive them there. Enter only the actual accepted units under Receiving now, and keep damaged or wrong units separate under Rejected.

From other topicsCan received furniture be held for the customer who ordered it?
Yes, OrderPilot holds the received template units needed by linked customer orders while surplus units remain available in Shopify. A finished configuration gets its stock identity, and the customer line keeps its selected specification.
Quotes alone do not hold stock. Check the stock update and hold result before assuming another customer can buy an arrived unit.

If I turn on Receive replies, do I still get replies in my mailbox?
Yes. Receive replies adds customer and vendor replies to their OrderPilot records and the Inbox while your mailbox continues receiving them. Existing orders begin capturing replies with their next outgoing email after setup.
Replies you send from your own mailbox aren't captured back into OrderPilot, so answer through the Inbox to keep the conversation together.

Why can't I switch an ordered-new line back to stock?
An ordered-new line cannot switch back after its unit has arrived and is held for that customer order. The line shows Arrived & Held, and its source is locked. Before arrival, use Take From Stock where available if the customer will buy an existing unit instead.

Why can't I receive goods at the made-to-order location?
A made-to-order location holds Order New commitments, so it cannot receive physical stock. Set the PO's destination to a subscribed store or warehouse.
When goods arrive, they are held for the customer there. On a placed order, fulfillment moves to the location that received them.
