Can received furniture be held for the customer who ordered it?
Yes, OrderPilot holds the received template units needed by linked customer orders while surplus units remain available in Shopify.
A finished configuration gets its stock identity, and the customer line keeps its selected specification.
Quotes alone do not hold stock. Check the stock update and hold result before assuming another customer can buy an arrived unit.

From other topicsWhat should we prepare before setting up our furniture catalog?
Prepare your product specifications, vendor details, selling prices, costs and available options before building the OrderPilot catalog. A Linden Sofa template might include fabric, cushion fill and the vendor supplying it.
Check which choices change price, cost or lead time, and which combinations are allowed. Those decisions shape the quotes staff create in Shopify.
Can we bring a furniture catalog into OrderPilot from a spreadsheet?
Yes, OrderPilot imports product templates, options and values from a CSV using its defined layout. Start with the starter CSV or an export, prepare the required categories and locations, then check the import report before applying changes.
The import does not create categories, brands, locations or bundles. An arbitrary supplier spreadsheet needs mapping to the supported columns.

Why can't I switch an ordered-new line back to stock?
An ordered-new line cannot switch back after its unit has arrived and is held for that customer order. The line shows Arrived & Held, and its source is locked. Before arrival, use Take From Stock where available if the customer will buy an existing unit instead.

Is OrderPilot suitable for a single furniture showroom?
Yes, OrderPilot supports a single showroom selling custom furniture through Shopify. Your team can configure products, write quotes, collect signatures and payments, and prepare vendor purchase orders.
You do not need multiple stores to use those workflows. Essentials covers up to 3 billed locations; choose a higher plan when you need its additional features.
