What does Order statuses are paused mean?
Order statuses are paused means automatic status movements and automatic status emails are temporarily paused.
Staff can still change a status manually or use Next status, and normal email rules still apply to those actions. When automatic processing resumes, orders catch up without sending catch-up emails.

No. An email group can be assigned to at most one status. To use the same design for another status, copy the template into a separate group and assign that group's status.
Check the group's sending line afterward; moving a status assignment changes which group sends for that status.

Which order statuses can go on a purchase order?
Any status with Eligible for purchase orders ticked can supply orders to the PO Workbench. New stores start with Quote, Order, Partially Sent to Vendor and Reorder needed eligible. Your store can rename statuses or change eligibility in SettingsQuotes & ordersStatuses.
