Why can Freight be added only once?

In the appCatalogUpdated 2 Nov 2026

Short answer

OrderPilot allows each supplied fee—Tariff Surcharge, Freight and Installation—once per order in the app.

For a separate second charge, create a saved fee with a different name. Use a name that tells staff and the customer what the additional charge covers.

Do rejected units get a share of freight?

Rejected units normally receive no share of a whole-PO charge; the units you keep carry the freight. OrderPilot allocates across ordered quantities minus rejected units.

If every covered unit is rejected, the allocation falls back to ordered quantities. Review the charge and receipt adjustments when rejection changes which goods bear the cost.

I added freight after the goods arrived. Does the cost update?

Yes. Adding or changing a whole-PO freight charge after goods arrive posts the received units' share as a late-charge adjustment, with its reason, in the receipt history; nothing is replaced silently. Units still outstanding take their share when they're received.

Reopen a finalized PO before changing charges, and choose Final when the confirmed invoice replaces an estimate. Cost already used by past sales isn't restated.

Should freight go on the PO or on a receipt?

Use a PO charge when freight covers goods across the whole purchase order, and a receipt charge when it belongs to one delivery. PO charges are shared across their selected goods as units arrive.

Receipt charges split by value across the covered units in that receipt. Choose the scope before entering the amount.

Does an enforced vendor minimum include freight and tax?

No. An enforced vendor value minimum uses the goods subtotal, excluding shipping, tax and landed-cost charges.

An unknown item cost blocks sending when that value minimum is enforced. Drafts can still be saved below the minimum; correct the items or costs before sending.
