I added freight after the goods arrived. Does the cost update?

In the appInventory and costsUpdated 2 Nov 2026

Short answer

Yes. Adding or changing a whole-PO freight charge after goods arrive posts the received units' share as a late-charge adjustment, with its reason, in the receipt history; nothing is replaced silently.

Units still outstanding take their share when they're received.

Reopen a finalized PO before changing charges, and choose Final when the confirmed invoice replaces an estimate. Cost already used by past sales isn't restated.

Why can Freight be added only once?

OrderPilot allows each supplied fee—Tariff Surcharge, Freight and Installation—once per order in the app. For a separate second charge, create a saved fee with a different name. Use a name that tells staff and the customer what the additional charge covers.

Do catalog price changes update quotes I already saved?

No. Saved quotes and drafts keep their recorded option prices and labels when the catalog changes.

Placed orders keep their sold details too. Re-picking an option value on a saved quote uses today's price, so make that change only when you intend to revise the offer.

How do I update template prices by CSV without clearing other details?

Remove columns you do not intend to update, and keep the existing template handles. Omitted columns preserve their current values.

With updates enabled, blank cells in present columns can clear details such as descriptions, costs, images, terms and overrides. Use Upload and check, then review every blank-clear warning before Apply import.

Do payments and fulfillment recorded in Shopify update OrderPilot?

Yes, Shopify sends payment, fulfillment, refund and cancellation updates back to linked OrderPilot sales. Staff can follow the customer sale without entering those events twice.

Updates are processed in the background, so check the sync and payment states before continuing. A customer signature, payment and delivery are separate facts about the sale.
