Does an enforced vendor minimum include freight and tax?

In the appPurchasingUpdated 2 Nov 2026

Short answer

No. An enforced vendor value minimum uses the goods subtotal, excluding shipping, tax and landed-cost charges.

An unknown item cost blocks sending when that value minimum is enforced. Drafts can still be saved below the minimum; correct the items or costs before sending.

How can we include freight and duty in a custom furniture order's cost?

You can include freight and duty as additional costs in Shopify's native purchase-order transfer workflow.

OrderPilot adds allocated freight, duty and other charges to vendor cost to calculate landed cost per unit. Charges can be split by value, quantity or a manual allocation; allocation by weight is unavailable.

The cost remains estimated when relevant charges are estimated, and missing vendor costs prevent a final total. Customer-specific purchases retain their assigned costs.

Why does an option value show Included?

Included means the option value adds $0 to the template's base price. Cost is separate: a cost of $0 reads Free, while an empty cost means unknown. Check the template's override before changing the shared option price, because a template can use its own amount.

Why does a template read No vendor?

No vendor means the template has no available vendor, including when its assigned vendors are inactive. Staff can still add the template, but the new line needs an active vendor. Open the template's Organization settings and choose vendors, or enable Offer all vendors to include active vendors added later.

Why can Freight be added only once?

OrderPilot allows each supplied fee—Tariff Surcharge, Freight and Installation—once per order in the app. For a separate second charge, create a saved fee with a different name. Use a name that tells staff and the customer what the additional charge covers.
