Can OrderPilot track repairs and warranty claims against the original sale?
Yes, OrderPilot Professional records claims against the original order and affected units, with photos, decisions and follow-up work.
Staff handle claims in Shopify admin.
Outcomes include a repair visit, part, replacement, refund or store credit. OrderPilot does not provide a customer claim-submission portal or a technician mobile app.

From other topicsCan I sell a warranty plan or open a warranty claim on POS?
No. Add extended warranty plans and handle warranty claims in OrderPilot inside Shopify admin. A warranty plan already attached to an order can appear on POS, but staff cannot add or discount it there.
POS order discounts also exclude warranty plans.

Why can't my staff see warranty claims?
Their role needs View warranty claims, along with access to the underlying order. Without claim-view permission, staff can be directed to coverage look-up instead of the claims workspace. Ask an administrator to review the role and order scope.
Viewing claims doesn't automatically grant permission to work, approve, or decline them.

Does giving money back on a claim end the warranty?
Yes. Recording a refund or store credit on a warranty claim ends coverage for the claimed units. Issue a refund in Shopify first, then record the amount, reference, and note on the claim.
For credit, choose Issue store credit now or Record credit already issued. Recording a refund alone doesn't move money.

Does Take from stock on a warranty claim reduce inventory?
No. Take from stock records the claim's goods as sourced and clears the part wait where applicable; the action doesn't move inventory by itself. Check the goods and sourcing record before continuing.
