Can I sell a warranty plan or open a warranty claim on POS?
No. Add extended warranty plans and handle warranty claims in OrderPilot inside Shopify admin.
A warranty plan already attached to an order can appear on POS, but staff cannot add or discount it there.
POS order discounts also exclude warranty plans.

From other topicsWhich plan includes warranty service and order approvals?
OrderPilot Professional includes warranty, claims and repairs, workflow automation, approvals and multiple brands. Professional also includes all Growth and Essentials features and supports any number of billed locations. Choose Professional when your store needs the service or approval workflows, even if it has fewer than 10 locations.
Can furniture warranty coverage start when the customer receives the item?
Yes, OrderPilot starts warranty coverage for each unit when it reaches the customer. Terms can differ by vendor, category, product or option, and the sold line preserves the agreed terms.
Later rule changes do not replace the coverage already sold. Warranty, claims and repairs are included on OrderPilot Professional.
Can OrderPilot track repairs and warranty claims against the original sale?
Yes, OrderPilot Professional records claims against the original order and affected units, with photos, decisions and follow-up work. Staff handle claims in Shopify admin.
Outcomes include a repair visit, part, replacement, refund or store credit. OrderPilot does not provide a customer claim-submission portal or a technician mobile app.
When does warranty cover start?
Warranty coverage starts for each unit when delivery or collection is recorded. Supported events include tracked delivery, Shopify Mark as delivered, local pickup fulfillment, and OrderPilot Mark delivered or Mark collected. Untracked shipping without delivery confirmation doesn't start coverage automatically.
Authorized staff can start coverage by hand using the date the customer received the goods.
