Can a manager approve custom orders before the team proceeds?

Selling made-to-order on ShopifyUpdated 2 Nov 2026

Short answer

Yes, OrderPilot Professional includes approvals, with permissions controlling who can approve, reject or request changes.

Product review settings can route relevant sales into the review queue.

Review decisions do not send status emails, and reviewer notification emails are not available yet. Agree how managers will check pending work before relying on the queue.

Can customers track an order without an account?

Yes. A customer can open Track your order from an emailed tracking link without signing in. The page shows the linked order's items, total, and available payment action.

A tracking link doesn't sign the customer in or sign a quote. The guest page directs customers to sign in for live messaging.

Why does my customer's order say In production?

In production comes from the order's customer status group or its items' progress. When no supported customer group applies, OrderPilot uses item progress to determine the stage. Sending an item's purchase order to the vendor can put that item in production.

Cancelled orders show Cancelled, and orders whose goods have all left show Complete.

Where do customers find all their orders?

Customers find their OrderPilot quotes and orders in the portal under Your orders and quotes, which shows the newest 50 records. Email me a link sends an account link to their address on file. Signed-in customers can also open My orders, which takes them into the portal while it is on.

Why can't my customer see every older order on the portal home?

The OrderPilot portal home shows the newest 50 records. Your orders and quotes is therefore not an unlimited history of every sale. If a customer needs an older document, find their record in OrderPilot.

Check the relevant quote or order before helping them locate the document.
