Can shoppers pay for a custom product online today?

In the appOnline storeUpdated 2 Nov 2026

Short answer

Yes. When every item in the quote cart is a Buy online template, Place order creates the order and prepares Shopify checkout.

If a signature is required, the customer signs first.

The quote-cart sign-in rule still applies. If checkout preparation takes too long, the page offers View your order.

Why does my customer's order say In production?

In production comes from the order's customer status group or its items' progress. When no supported customer group applies, OrderPilot uses item progress to determine the stage. Sending an item's purchase order to the vendor can put that item in production.

Cancelled orders show Cancelled, and orders whose goods have all left show Complete.

Does the payment status update when a customer pays online?

Yes. When Shopify reports an online payment, OrderPilot updates the payment badge and Paid amount.

Refunds made in Shopify sync back too. A payment request or link does not mean money has arrived.

Check the updated payment record before treating the sale as paid.

Does resetting settings affect products on my online store?

Yes. Reset settings turns online selling off, and template products leave the Online Store when that setting resets. The templates themselves remain, along with quotes, orders, options, vendors, statuses, and roles.

Review the store's configuration before staff resume work. The reset also turns the customer portal back on and cannot be undone.

Where do I change my logo for emails and the customer portal?

Open SettingsBrandingCustomer portal and use Logo in the shared Brand section. In Frame your logo, position the image and check its Logo and Square mark versions, then click Apply and save. The kit supplies the logo across customer assets; each supported asset has its own placement controls.
