Does assigning an Inbox conversation change the order's salesperson?

In the appEmails and messagesUpdated 2 Nov 2026

Short answer

No. The Inbox assignee is separate from the order's owner, its primary salesperson.

Assign the conversation to an eligible teammate when they should handle the messages.

Only people who can reply to that conversation appear in the assignee list. Changing ownership of the sale is a separate action requiring order reassignment permission.

Why do salesperson quote counts add up to more than the total?

A quote counts for every salesperson credited on it, so adding individual quote counts can count the same quote more than once. The Total is not the sum of those overlapping counts. Revenue follows each person's sales-credit share instead, with uncredited value under Unassigned.
