Does the delivery promise use business days or calendar days?
The delivery promise uses calendar days for every stage.
Vendor build, the slowest option, transfer and customer delivery contribute according to the line type. At 14 days or more, the display shows approximate weeks alongside the exact days.
A deliberate 0 means Same day; a blank value means Not set.

Will OrderPilot replace every business system we use?
No, OrderPilot manages the made-to-order sale in Shopify, but it does not replace every business tool. Its scope includes quotes, payments, purchasing, receiving, landed cost and service.
It does not provide payroll, customer financing or delivery route planning. Check the jobs you need covered before retiring an accounting or delivery system.
Can OrderPilot calculate a delivery estimate for made-to-order furniture?
Yes, OrderPilot calculates an internal delivery promise from vendor build time, the slowest option, transfer time and customer delivery time. Pickup skips the customer-delivery stage.
The complete promise appears in the admin app, not on POS, PDFs, emails or the customer portal. Placed orders keep their recorded promise when later catalog lead times change.

Why does a delivered item still say Starts at delivery?
OrderPilot hasn't recorded a delivery event for that unit. Untracked shipping without delivery confirmation can leave an item fulfilled but its warranty unstarted. Check the handover in Shopify or OrderPilot; an hourly check can catch missed Shopify updates.
If delivery is confirmed but still missing, authorized staff can start coverage using the actual delivery date.
