Does a replacement get a new warranty term?

Short answer

Replacement coverage follows the rule chosen in SettingsProductsClaims.

You can keep the original expiry, keep it with a minimum period, or start a full term from replacement delivery. Recording delivery starts the replacement's coverage and stops coverage on the replaced unit.

The replacement carries the original terms and sold plan at no charge.

Which plan includes warranty service and order approvals?

OrderPilot Professional includes warranty, claims and repairs, workflow automation, approvals and multiple brands. Professional also includes all Growth and Essentials features and supports any number of billed locations. Choose Professional when your store needs the service or approval workflows, even if it has fewer than 10 locations.

Why can’t I receive replacements on the original PO?

A replacement PO can take over the rejected units' purchasing allocation, disabling those rows on the original PO. The receiving row identifies the replacement PO.

Receive the replacements there instead of recording them twice. If every unit on the original PO was rejected, that PO no longer offers Receive Items.

Can I sell a warranty plan or open a warranty claim on POS?

No. Add extended warranty plans and handle warranty claims in OrderPilot inside Shopify admin. A warranty plan already attached to an order can appear on POS, but staff cannot add or discount it there.

POS order discounts also exclude warranty plans.

Can furniture warranty coverage start when the customer receives the item?

Yes, OrderPilot starts warranty coverage for each unit when it reaches the customer. Terms can differ by vendor, category, product or option, and the sold line preserves the agreed terms.

Later rule changes do not replace the coverage already sold. Warranty, claims and repairs are included on OrderPilot Professional.
