Can I put frequently sold templates at the top of the product picker?

In the appCatalogUpdated 2 Nov 2026

Short answer

Yes. Open the template's row menu in Products and choose Pin to top.

Pinned templates lead the app, POS and purchase-order pickers in pin order.

Choose Unpin to remove that priority. Pins do not change Shopify's product order and are not included in the template CSV.

Why does my template product have new variants in Shopify?

Receiving a template configuration creates or reuses a Stock unit variant on the template's Shopify product. The base variant is Made to order; stocked variants identify exact finished configurations.

Receiving creates that stock identity, not placing the customer order. The customer-order line keeps its configuration history as a custom item.

Why can't I add New product… or From a template… to a PO?

New product… and From a template… require Manage the catalog and a new purchase order. Editing an already saved PO lets you add existing Shopify products instead. For a new template configuration, complete every required option before choosing Add to PO.

Why can't I add a template's Shopify product or an Add-On product on its own?

OrderPilot's template and add-on products must be sold through their configured template, with the customer's options selected. Add the template from Templates instead of adding its Shopify product as a plain line. Add-ons are not standalone items; keeping them within the template preserves the intended configuration and pricing.

Why can't I find a product in the POS picker?

The POS picker requires active Shopify products available on the Point of Sale channel, or active templates your staff and location can use. Clear the filters and check those settings. Hide out-of-stock products on POS also hides products with no stock at the register's location.

If the item is already added, change its existing quantity.
